National Venous Thromboembolism Exemplar Centre Initiative

Since May 2008, MMRx Communications have been contracted to work with Dr Roopen Arya, King’s College Hospital, London (National Lead of the Venous Thromboembolism National Exemplar Centre Initiative) to create and maintain the national Venous Thromboembolism Exemplar Centre website (www.kingsthrombosiscentre.org.uk).

National Venous Thromboembolism Resource Book

In 2009, MMRx Communications were contracted to work with Dr Roopen Arya, King’s College Hospital, London (National Lead of the Venous Thromboembolism National Exemplar Centre Initiative) to create a national venous thromboembolism resource book. The output was a 40-page book entitled ‘Venous Thromboembolism Prevention: A Patient Safety Priority’, which was co-branded from the DH and the All Party Parliamentary Thrombosis Group. IVIg Demand Management Programme

From the beginning of 2009, MMRx have managed the Database Steering Committee meetings under the instruction of Dr Denise O’Shaughnessy. Our role includes communications with the database Steering Committee, organizing, attending and minuting meetings and undertaking any research.

From August 2009 – March 2010, MMRx was contracted by DH to prepare the first report of the database, including the data review in conjunction with the IVIg steering Committee and the DH, the writing of the drafts and the final document, including proof reading. Our design role included full graphic design of the final document including the all graphs and tables and the preparation of all slides for the launch meeting. Access the document here.

Our media role included the creation of an e-learning resource with webcasts to provide the content of the lectures the National IVIg Database Workshop at Prospero House, Jan 22nd 2010. Access the e-learning resource here.
